Kenya’s Directorate of Immigration recently partnered with Posta to facilitate passport delivery across the country. This made it possible to track one’s dpcument via the Posta website. This video explains how to track a passport using a tracking number.
The tracking service utilizes the short code 2032, and you can do it using the following steps: Open the messages app on your phone and create a new message. On the recipient space, enter 2032 and type the tracking number issued upon submission of your documents. Press the send button once you have verified that all the information has been entered correctly. You will receive a text message showing your document as ready for collection or still in processing. You can utilize the same code to request assistance from the immigration department in Kenya by sending HELP. If you find out that your document isn’t ready yet, you can use the same code for further enquiries. Ordinarily, the service costs Ksh.5 only for every SMS sent.
